In the era when supermodels-Cindy, Linda, Naomi, Christy, Helena, Nadia-ruled on the runway, Kevin Aucoin defined the backstage make-up, making the girls look even more sensational. Luckily for us, he has a make-up line, named after himself and Cult Beauty stocks it up-well, so does SpaceNK but they don’t have as many products, as CB girls do!
The range offers you a wide choice of products, namely:
–eye lash curler, -celestial bronzing veil, -celestial powder, -creamy glow (blusher), -eye pencil, -liquid airbrush foundation, -mascara, -sculpting powder, -sensual skin enhancer and -sensual skin primer
As I needed a blusher, I ordered the creamy glow in Tansoleil ( a very pretty peachy colour ) and I loved it so much, that after a couple of days I ordered two more-Pravella ( a soft, subtle pink that gives you a rosy glow ) and Euphoria ( I use it as an blusher / enhancer / bronzer not just on my cheeks, but on the forehead and on the bridge of my nose also ).
The blushers themselves are creamy and blend very easily, so you can build up a stronger colour, if your ‘look’ requires it, but it also stays put and doesn’t make your skin feel dry, even if you re-apply it during the day. You also have a mirror in the compact, so you can check and adjust your colour in the taxi or on the tube or while out and about.
Yes, it costs £19, a £1 more than Bobbi Brown’s famous pot rouge, but I think Kevin’s choice of colours-four in total-offers you versatility and perfect colour combination, whatever your skin colour or tone, so on this occasion he definitely gets my vote.
