Ole Henriksen pure truth youth activating oil

Every time Ole Henriksen launches a new product it raises a smile on my lips because this man’s enthusiasm and zest for life are contagious. Ole seems excited about his brand year in and year out, if anything, his joy and desire to share the experience and make his customers look beautiful only seems to grow and his first face oil, Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil is no exception-in fact, you are in for a beautifying treat for your skin, as well as the senses.

Face oils can help to regulate your skin and make it look and feel rejuvenated. The star oil in this product is rosehip oil, which is considered to be one of the most nutrient-rich oils, as it contains retinol in the form of Vitamin A ( helps to increase cell turnover that slows down as we age ), vitamin C ( helps to boost collagen and brightens our skin ), as well as brimming with very potent essential fatty acids ( omega 3, 6, 9 ) which are, when you have a perfect balance of them, help to make our skin more resilient towards environmental aggressors.

Even though this oil was launched in the springtime, it is perfect for every season and so far I love using it in the summer ( what summer in London you might ask and I would agree with you-it feels more like November than June !). You only need one pump of this beautifully fragrant, orange-coloured oil that gets almost instantly absorbed by your skin. Bear in mind that a face oil can block absorption of other products, so personally I apply it in the evening, sometimes, when I feel like my skin needs an extra boost, on top of Ole Henriksen Truth Serum, that creates a perfect ‘base’ for the oil. In the morning I wake up with glowing, radiant skin ( in a couple of weeks of using this oil I noticed improvement in my skin tone. So now in the morning I am happy to lightly apply just a tinted moisturiser on the areas of my face that need it, dot a little bit of blusher to the apples of my cheeks and dash out of the door-perfect, dewy, naturally healthy skin ). This oil also heps to improve the appearance of small scars or little imperfections you might have on your lovely face, as well as firming up the skin, thus improving the appearance of wrinkles.

The oil itself is unfiltered and unprocessed, hence its beautifully rich, orange colour which is very even in its consistency when you pump it out of the bottle. It leaves behind a lovely sheen and makes your skin feel almost instantly nourished to the touch and the zingy citrussy smell ( like a slice of gently squeezed orange with a drip of honey over it ) gives you an uplifting sensory experience and it is one of the things that makes Ole Henriksen products so special-he pays equal attention to the ingredient composition of his products, as well as their smell and bright packaging, making it a double pleasure to have them on your bathroom shelf.

On a sunday night, if you feel like pampering yourself and your skin, Ole recomends using this oil after his Lemon Strip Flash Peel or Power Peel ( it is gentle even for the mildly sensitive skin but really improves your skin tone when you use it on a regular basis-it really is as good as going to have a professional peel with the facialist ).

Ingredients List: organic virgin Rosa Mosqueta ( rosehip ) seed oil, Citrus Tangerina ( tangerine ) peel oil, Cymbopogon Flexuosus ( lemongrass ) oil, Tocopherol ( Natural Vitamin E ).

This oil really nurtures, nourishes, moisturises your skin, whether you are in your 20s or 40s and it really helps your skin look its best-firmer and more radiant- on a sunny or a grey day, age-proofing it for the future. Right now you can just use it on its own, without the need for a serum or moisturiser in the evening and be holiday ready. Healthy skin makes a big difference to our confidence and when you look great and the smell of the product makes you smile, it really puts you in a position where happiness and confidence rise from within, making you irresistible.
