This year certainly seems to be a year when oils, be it for the face or the body, are coming into their own and finally getting the recognition they deserve. The right type of oil can be skin-saving and bring with it endless benefits, from the beautiful glow to improvement in your own sense of well-being.
Until now all of the face oils that I have tried or use came in the bottles with either a pump or with a pipette dispenser but Primavera ( an organic holistic brand ) seed oils come in capsules. The brand has been developed by the wonderful Ute Leube, who already distilled her professional and nurturing experience into German organic skin & body care called Amala. Ute is passionate about plants and their healing benefits and all of her products are Eco-cert, Fairtrade, as well as NaTrue certified, which already should give you an idea about how thoroughly researched their products are and how pure are their ingredients. Another big bonus for the environment and your effect on it as consumer, is that Primavera uses recyclable glass bottles and jars and even if the product needs an outer carton, the paper used comes from sustainable and recyclable sources and is printed with chemical-free printing plates and Eco-colour dyes.
For the last month I have been using Primavera Neroli Cassis Intensive Seed Oil Capsules as part of my night-time routine and have certainly noticed how moisturising and nurturing they make my skin feel.
The green glass jar contains a month worth ( 30 ) of pretty yellow capsules. Each evening you twist the little end of the capsule and out comes a beautiful golden liquid, just the right amount to cover your face in ( apart from your eye area )- I have been also known to apply the left-over oil to the ends of my hair, but then it is just me, you don’t have to ). You can also apply it to your neck and decollete, if you feel like it. We tend to look after our face, often neglecting our neck and because of it, it is often the first part of our body to show our true age.
Each biodegradable vegetable-based capsule contains the following ingredients:
– Oraganic Borago Officinalis seed oil: helps to restore elasticity and comforts dry or tight skin.
– Organic Rosa Moschata seed oil: smooths and refines skin texture
– Organic Jojoba seed oil ( Simmondsia chinensis ): easily absorbed and helps to strengthen and refine the skin.
– Organic Sweet almond oil ( Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis ): a classic base oil
– Organic Blackcurrant seed oil ( Ribes Nigrum ): seals in moisture, using essential fatty acids, smooths, softens and strengthens the skin’s epidermal layers. It also protects skin cells against free-radicals.
– Organic Essential Neroli oil: soothes dry or flaky skin, while also calming and balancing the senses.
– Fragrance ( parfum )
– Organic Bitter Orange Flower Oil ( Citrus Aurantium Amara )
– Organic Sunflower Seed Oil ( Helianthus )
– Organic Fig Fruit Extract ( Ficus Carica )
– Benzyl Benzoate
Each capsule is an intensive treatment ( due to its ingredients concentration ) and this particular formula offers moisturising benefits for normal to dry skins. The oil is quickly absorbed into your skin but on initial application you are hit with a beautiful fruity smell, with a slightly citrusy note and your skin looks glowy as soon as you spread the oil all over. I gently tap it in, with the tips of my fingers and see my skin come alive thanks to the combination of oils and massage. What greets me in the morning is a pretty, even, glowy complexion.
This particular combination of oils is also effective for scars, if you have any on your skin and I find them very handy for travel. If you are going away on a business trip or just for a weekend away, popping a couple of those capsules in your beauty bag is going to make for lighter packing without compromising on your beauty routine or results.
If you like the idea of this capsules you can also buy Revitalising Rose Pomegranate Intensive Seed Oil capsules for dull or mature skin or Moisturising Neroli Cassis Bronzing Seed Oil Capsules.
